The UnComfort Zone

It is always a unique thing to see people coming into a mission project. Some are very focused on the mission at hand, some are excited, some are tired, some are just..well...goofy. (that is meant in a good way) Regardless, it is always a little uncomfortable that first day. All kind of interaction with people that you have never seen and do not know. Tons of information getting dumped on you. New sites and people at every corner. Everyone always seems to be a little tense not matter what they try to act like.

There is something about being uncomfortable that God uses. Something that happens to us when we stepp out of our norm so we can serve God for His glory. God uses these times to push us to be what we would have never been on our own. It is a time when we are forced to have faith. Faith that the Lord will help us in this situation. Faith that will give us strength to make an impact on a community that is not our own. Faith that prayerfully we realize is not from us, but is a gift from God.

Pray that these Soldiers will be used for God's glory this week. Pray that in this uncomfortable time, God will stretch them beyond themselves to the place where they are useful for Him. There is no doubt that Fort Payne and Dekalb County Alabama has already been impacted by these men and women of God. I am thankful for them!!
